New Statesman: Is this what a police state looks like?

The New Statesman have an interesting article or the activities of "FIT" or Forward Intelligence Team that are used in the UK to monitor, bully, detain and photograph protesters. From my research they seem like a nasty bunch! The article covers how outside City Hall in London a number of anti-fascist protesters (Protesting over the BNP getting a seat on the assembly, I'll post about that soon) and other protesters were penned (oh and some Italian Tourists, spiacente!) in and not allowed to leave for 3 hours without water or access to a toilet (have these people not heard of Basic Human Rights??).
